Libera Università Mediterranea (LUM University), Italy

Libera Università Mediterranea (also LUM University or Free Mediterranean University) is an Italian non-state university founded in 1995, in Casamassima, Metropolitan City of Bari, Italy.

Lum Jean Monnet University was born in 1995 and then regularly recognised by the Educational and Research Ministry in 2000. In the 2004 has been established the LUM University School of Management, with postgraduate courses, and in the same year the Specialization School of Law Affairs has been established as well.

In 2004, the Management School of the LUM University was born, with qualifying post-graduate training courses.

Currently, LUM is divided into three departments: Medicine and Surgery, Management, Finance and Technology, and Legal and Business Sciences.

LUM intends to transfer knowledge to the new generations and to the entire society in which it operates. The academic excellence at its disposal, which it engages daily in both teaching and research, will be part of that identity strength that will allow the LUM to strengthen its attractiveness both nationally and internationally.

Teaching is structured in such a way as to offer students valid and useful training courses for immediate entry into the world of work.

Furthermore, LUM works to become a model of a contemporary university in which excellent training, continuous learning, specialized research, innovative doctrinal elaboration and direct connection with the world of work can be the guidelines through which the operational practices of the University to be the protagonist of the economic and social development of the territory.
